Kemaman RC Mini Fun Fly

I felt too tired today.

First of all, yesterday I organized a mini fun fly for RC enthusiast in Kemaman Terengganu. This small event is a get together event for local (Kemaman) rc enthusiast and includes some members from Putrajaya RC Club.

The event started from 10 am and finished at 5 pm with small break in between hours with refreshment and lunch sponsored by Madam Liza (wife of Mr Mokhtarizan). All old timers rc flyers flown their plane and helicopter (nitro/petrol based engine) while newbies flown their electric power (EP) version of plane and helicopter.

Best of all most of the flyer demonstrate their ability to fly 3D format (both plane and helicopter) including low pass, inverted, low pass inverted, funnel, tictoc and others format. Their ability to control the radio control (RC) aircraft is superb. I feel very small compared to others rc flyers.

By the way the event is good to exchange informative ideas regarding RC flying and I feel that in future I will try to invite any public school located need Kemaman RC Airfield to join this event. It will gives a good exposure both to the student/school or to RC enthusiast.

Smoke Free At Putrajaya

Have you ever gone to Putrajaya, Malaysia? If you haven’t, I urge you to visit this new Malaysian Capital Administrative City. The environment is quite cosy and the design for this new urban lifestyle is near utopia.

I myself think that Putrajaya should became the leader is environmentally support city as this city have developed a good infrastructure for transportation. To create a green city, I think it’s best for Putrajaya to develop some sort or “transportation act” within this city. I’m sure the best way to do it is to stop all the polluted car and buses to enter the city limit. Putrajaya should implement an electric powered monorel, buses or urge the people to use a public bicycle.

Velib Bike

Why don’t Malaysian Government try to implement the same approach as Vélib (short for “vélo liberté”) program in Paris or what have Washington DC Mayor plan to implement.  Next month D.C. will become the first U.S. city to launch a public bike sharing venture and  one hundred and twenty bicycles will be available at 10 central locations for an annual membership cost of $40. Users will be able to check out bikes for three hours at a time from 6am until 10pm (and returned at all hours); a fee of $200 will be levied if the bicycle goes unreturned after 48 hours. There is a point-based system of demerits for late returns, which can lead to losing one’s rental privileges.

The cost of the program has been covered by a partnership with Clear Channel Outdoor, who in exchange for funding much of the program have been given exclusive advertising rights to the bus shelters around D.C.

Safety Of Artificial Turf Fields

panduan menjana pendapatan hebat di eBay

As we all known, many of indoor and outdoor sport arena including Futsal were using artificial turf for their playing fields. It’s a all year long green sport field which being made by either special formulated plastic and rubber or special rugs. The color of these field comes from paint which scientist now found out that it contained a big amount of lead.

For years we’ve known not to play with peeled paint chips; now, we know not to eat the turf. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced an investigation potential hazardous levels of lead in artificial turf fields across the country.

AstroTurf

Two fields in New Jersey were closed this week after elevated levels of lead were found during an unrelated investigation. The source is likely from lead chromate that is used as pigment and to prevent fading. While the lead could become airborne through wear on the surfaces, further studies are necessary to assess the actual risk.

Artificial grass playing fields first become common in the 1970s with the introduction of the now-iconic AstroTurf (both fields found to contain lead were produced by the AstroTurf company and were nylon variants). More carpet than turf, a rash of injuries and complaints from purists resulted in many turf fields transitioning back to the real stuff, although next-gen technologies developed in the past five years have seen more widespread adoption. According to the Synthetic Turf Council there are 3,500 synthetic playing fields in the United States with 800 new fields being added each year.

So based on these finding, I’m sure that other country will examine and check all approved playing turf within their country to find whether it’s safe to play on it. The future of these playing turf will be uncertain as some official were started to question the legalities of these excessive usage of lead on the paint pigment.
